To wat extent do you think HIV prevention intervention can prevent adolenscent and children from HIV?
the only answer now is safe sex or no sex
Reply:Not sure if I understand your question, but the only change likely to reduce transmission of the virus in adolescents and young adults is guaranteed access to treatment.
If kids do not know ahead of time that the health care system will provide them with treatment and counseling, they have little rational incentive to get themselves tested.
If you believe that adults have the power to persuade kids to abstain from sex, you suffer from an impaired ability to perceive reality.
Reply:The power of proper information will be a great help to adolescents and young adults who usually engage in sex so it will help a lot.
Reply:mandatory testing yearly would be effective. make sure people are educated on the risks. education only goes so far, most people are educated to some extent (though that could use improvement i think from reading questions on thse boards) but people still think they are invincible and it cant happen to them or theyre jsut stupid
i completely disagree with el gringo, he assumes teens think things through too much- the problem is that they dont think things through enough
Reply:lets hope it doeas work,,,bec there ara no other choices!!!!
