What requriments are needed to work in Loss prevention at target?
Loss prevention is a security guard position at a Target store basically. You're either applying for one of these two positions:

ASSETS PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Support store safeness and reduce merchandise shortage by aggressively addressing all safeness, theft and fraud issues. Use systems to help monitor fraudulent activity and respond to crisis situations in a way that preserves a fast, fun and friendly experience for Target guests.

TARGET PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Your presence at the front of the Target store establishes the guest’s sense of safeness and security. You’ll also address all theft and fraud issues, reducing merchandise shortage through receipt checks, alarm responses and monitoring all security systems.

You'll basically be watching customers, making sure they don't shoplift, and if they do, you'll be going after them.

Target pays based on position and experience. Since this is retail and you don't have a degree and you have no experience, I doubt it would be $12-$13 to start.

Only the HR rep would be able to tell you if the certificate program will hurt or help you; you need to ask him/her.
