Herbal remedies for kidney stones/prevention of?

What herbal remedies are good to take to deal with kidney stones while you still have them, and what might be a good life-long remedy to prevent future occurrences?

I have one little guy (2mm) in my right ureter which I am waiting to pass. I'm drinking as much as possible, but if there are any herbal remedies that might assist with pain, passage or dissolution, I'd love to hear about it.

And since I never want another, I'd like to learn about natural remedies for prevention - something I can do for the rest of my life.

I've done some research already and have found some suggestions, but nothing consistent.

Ultimately, they are typically formed when someone gets more Calcium than their body can absorb (among other minerals taken in too high of doses), then the Calcium builds up in their kidneys.

With that being said, the main natural products that help with kidney health are Cranberry, Juniper Berry, Corn Silk, and Uva Ursi.

No supplement can make any medical claims on their own, so the supplements can't claim to help/prevent kidney stones.... but if your kidneys are healthy, they should run really well.
Reply:I've heard cranberry juice works as a pervention. You can also drink more water and cut down on soda. I don't drink soda anymore and I don't miss it.
Reply:Drink an equal mixture of olive oil and lemon juice. It will taste terrible, but will get rid of kidney stones.
Reply:there are many things you can do depending on what type of stone it is. One thing is to watch how much calcium you take in cause sometimes having to much calcium in your system can lead to one type of stone. Also watch how much caffeine and soda you drink as they can also cause stones. I drink about a gallon of cranberry juice a month and lots of water to help prevent stones and other urinary infections.
Reply:kidney stones are created by not taking in enough calcium.

one of the jobs of the kidney is to conserve calcium, a critical mineral to many functions in the body, especially the nervous system. The Product specialist for a vitamin company errs in his comments. You can disolve stones by shocking the ph of the urinary tract. It is not pleasant, but here is how you do it.

In one sitting, drink 72 oz of regular Coca Cola

Follow with a can of asparagus (plain, no sauce, no cheese)

Eat the all or the asparagus.

This combination alters the ph of the urinary tract and disolves the stone
