Prevention of eyewash stations from freezing outdoors.?

We have the refillable eyewash stations on the drilling rig here in Colorado. Our problem is that the stations freeze, rendering them useless. There is no way to plumb them from fresh water. Is there an additive that is safe for the eyes? I need some help! Thanks for your time, and Happy New Year!

Reply:The best eye wash to use anytime of the year and during any climate is distilled water. Make sure it is at room temperature. Should the distilled water become frozen, place the bottle somewhere near the hottest point at the station(s) or simply boil a pan of water and place the bottle - unopened into the pan and let it sit for a while. Distilled water is better than visine, plus it costs less.
