Reply:Water helps, but *time* is best--don't go to sleep drunk. Wait 'til you've sobered up some.
Reply:Water. Lots of it. And then some more.
Reply:The general rule is to eat and drinking. It causes faster metabolism of the alcohol when it's consumed with food rather than by itself.

Also, the time it takes to burn off one shot is an hour, depending on gender, weight, and so on of course.
Reply:i started drinking vodka and lemonade when i heard thet the darker the drink, the worse the hangover, and it's right.

I dont really have hangovers any more, not when im just drinking vodka %26amp; Lemonade.

It tastes really nice too.
Reply:After extensive research on the field I have found a combination of the following works:

Before you drink take two Tylenol with a full glass of water (8oz or more) and two more before you pass out with a full glass of water (again 8oz or more).

If you can avoid the sugary drinks (Pina Coladas, Margaritas, full calorie soda based drinks, etc)- usually the culprit of a hangover is the body craving more sugar.

When you come to a conscious state the next day, slowly drink a sports drink with electrolytes to replace the ones you lost; also a cup of coffee doesn't hurt with the above mentioned Tylenol.

I have found that there really isn't a food combo that is going to make you feel better other than take the taste of the hair of the dog that bit you out of your mouth and tummy- but pancakes sure don't hurt. Bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel has helped in the past as well as chicken soup (but that requires standing upright to cook it).
Reply:Alcohol in large doses is a poison.

Thinking you can poison yourself without some consequence is just plain silly.

Try drinking enough to feel rosy, but not so much, so quickly that you overwhelm your body's ability to flush it out of your system.

If drinking to excess is your sport then chalk up the horrendous next day as the price you pay.

If you are paying it too often, and you are failing to show up for class or work, then take yourself to AA, cause you have a problem you aren't facing.

My father was a bartender, he saw people try method after method, fad after fad, drinking this, or that, eating first, or the hair of the dog, the simple biological fact remains that alcohol is a poison, too much will make you ill. Trying to stop the dehydration that it causes will help the dehydration, but in the end you will still have the results of what is essentially poisoning yourself.

That's why people die from it.
Reply:You're supposed to intersperse drinking water between drinks, which doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Whatever you do, don't drink sweet drinks, they are the worst hangover makers. Eat a baked potato before you go drinking, it helps to absorb the alcohol, and have breakfast out before you head home, with lots of coffee. That's why so many after-hours restaurants do such good business on the weekends; people are leveling out their drinking, so they don't go home stone dead drunk. Also don't drink heavy liquor: vodka, gin, bourbon, etc; drink light alcohol: beer, wine. And also take extra B vitamins at the end of the evening before retiring, to replenish the B vitamin that drinking sucks out of your system.
Reply:any hot soup
Reply:Drink a soft drink between each alcoholic drink and have a decent light meal before you go out.
Reply:Your body might not be able to handle your intake of alcohol. I would try to hold back. I'm not trying to scare you. But, you can get alcohol poisoning. Be careful.
Reply:Well Avoiding a hangover is simple , just remain drunk,

Ok joking aside, try drinking quite a lot of water, I always leave a two Liter bottle at my bedside and drink during the night, and have something to eat before going to bed, and try sleeping a couple of extra hours, so your body can get rid of the alcohol in your blood stream, but remember you get hungover cause you become dehydrated so drinking alot of water helps.
