What prevention(s) can I take to prevent poisonous snakes coming near my rest house?

I have a rest house near a farmland that has lots of bamboo and fields. How can I deter snakes and prevent them from coming into my small house and lot?

What prevention(s) can I take to prevent poisonous snakes coming near my rest house?
The most affective way is to put up a fence w/ no holes %26amp; slant it away from your house.
Reply:snakes have a right to be there that there ,all u can do is trim back your fields and get rid of the bamboo well trim them back..
Reply:Moth Balls? Not! And They are not deadly, unless you eat them. That's why grandma has them in her closet to protect her clothes. The only things you can do is keep the area around your house clear of debris on the ground that they can hide under, keep the grass cut if you have any, and maybe put up a fine mesh fencing and run a low voltage current through it. That way you don't actually kill the animals but a quick shock may keep them out of your area. But you have to remember that they were there first, and sometimes you just have to learn to live with them and to take the proper precautions while doing things in that area. If you only go there once and in a while then there is really nothing you can do except be careful. If there was constant movement in the area then the snakes would be less likely to stay there. They don't like you anymore than you like them, they will not hunt you down or anything but if you stumble across one you may get bitten, so be careful. Hope this helps
Reply:Its been said already but ill say it a different way.

They were there first .

Theyre not on your "farmland"

You built your house in their field.

If you dont like the fact that theyre there ........... my suggestion would be that you move.
