Rust prevention on bikes?
Alloy parts don't rust steel parts do. They are usually small pieces on a good bike. Keep 'em lubed with the correct lubes. Keep it out of the weather when not in use. Wrip it down to dry after washing or rain. etc.
Reply:dont use it
Reply:Unfortunately not too much really. Keep the moving parts parts lubed and greased appropriately. However, the biggest source of rust is leaving the bike outside. As long as you keep the bike indoors when not in use, you will be fine.
Reply:First wax the bike with turtle wax car wax, then lubricate all moving parts appropriately being sure to wipe off any excess lube grease, oil, or WD-40. Then keep the bike out of the rain and humidity and you should be good to go.Oh Yea! I forgot to tell you you should do this everytime the bike gets either wet or muddy.
