Is there any prevention methods for Alzheimer?

Is there any prevention methods for Alzheimer?
there actually is not! there are som myths but they have not been proved. its not something that someone can catch or anything but there is also no way of preventing it. the only thing is stay healthy and sharp (memory-wize)
Reply:Alzheimer's is still a relatively new condition. Ongoing studies will continue to tell us more about it, but right now, these websites provide some of the best information on the subject:

Reply:Yes, several. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily. Avoid anything with alumin(i)um, such as antiperspirants, and cooking utensils. Eat in accordance with your "nutritional type", as shown at www.mercola.com SEARCHBAR See Alzheimer's, in section 29, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris when the servers there are operational, (hopefully soon).
Reply:Its a process when brain becomes casual or starts taking rest, in this situation a right handed person shud try to write his left hand which wud stimulate his brain giving positive results.
Reply:Nothing has been proven to prevent Alzheimer disease, though some measures have been suggested to POSSIBLY reduce the risk of developing the disease (or may delay the age at which it becomes symptomatic).

Beware of anyone who claims to have a drug or dietary supplement that prevents the disease, or who claims that certain things are proven to prevent it.

What we know so far (but only from observational studies) is that a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables (i.e., "naturally occurring" vitamins), low in red meat, with some fish (at least a serving per week) seems to help; alcohol used in moderation seems to lower risk (but heavy alcohol use increases risk); NOT smoking lowers risk (smoking raises the risk); being physically active reduces risk; being mentally active (and there's no specific "mental exercise" ever proven to delay or prevent Alzheimer disease, we're just talking about staying mentally active in general) may delay the age at which symptoms appear.

Some drugs have been suggested to reduce Alzheimer risk, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (like Motrin/Advil (ibuprofen)), though all the controlled studies to date have been negative. Vitamin E was thought to reduce risk, but the study evidence now is very much against a benefit from high doses of vitamin E. There was initially a suggestion that "statins" reduced Alzheimer risk, but again the study evidence now is very much against a benefit from these drugs (on reducing Alzheimer risk, that is).

So, live a good, clean, healthy lifestyle with lots of physical exercise and a good diet, and your risk is likely to be lower, though there's no proof of that yet (but hey, it can't hurt).
